I am an A&R, music publisher, manager, creator and CEO of an up and coming talent/reality TV show(s). Some of my success stories are that I share a song with multi-platinum producer and rapper, Swizz Beatz, husband to Alicia Keys, called “Top Down” that has been featured in the movie “The Other Guys” as well as the Playstation & Microsoft XBox game called "Grand Theft Auto IV" in which a sample was used from the golden oldies song “Girl Come On Home” written by the late Roger Hatcher and Major Lance. Nas, the rapper, also rerecorded the song with Swizz Beatz as well as the Chipmunks and the adult animated TV show South Park. I also share the song called "Get A Hold Of Yourself" that was rerecorded by The Platters and Gladys Knight. It was originally recorded by Roger Hatcher and written by him and the late Johnny Mae Matthews who was the manager of Otis Williams and the Distants later known as The Temptations. The song "I Dedicate My Life To You" was also rerecorded by The Dramatics which was also originally written and recorded by Roger Hatcher in which I also share. Anthony Hamilton used a sample of The Dramatics' version of the song "I Dedicate My Life To You" in his song "I'm Sorry." Clarence Carter re-recorded the song "I Got Caught" that was originally written and recorded by Roger Hatcher.
As I ventured off to do my own thing, I decided to get into the business side of the music industry originally as a hobby. Soon After, I met and worked with multi-platinum producer Keith Clizark, who has produced songs for Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Def Jam, Too Short, Master P, Kurupt, Mystical, and Tha Eastsidaz, as Mr. Clizark’s assistant and A&R. I later was asked by Mr. Clizark to be a music manager to his artist, Risse Cakkes. I am currently a manager to a very talented R&B/Pop artist that I feel has what it takes to make it to the top. As his manager, his songs were presented to Ant Rich, of Jive Records, and was strongly considered for Chris Brown to record. American Idol, Ruben Studdard, also received music from me for my client and loved what he heard, but his CD was going in a different direction. Jake McKim, who worked along side Mathew Knowles known for the girl's group Destiny's Child at Music World, requested that my artist write some songs for his artist at his label Birch Street Music from my presenting my client's music. Through my efforts, my artist was also considered for a compilation CD from the then A&R, Charlie Mac, at the late 2Pac's record label Makaveli. Also, through my efforts, the artist that I manage was originally chosen to do opening act for Diggy Simmons, Rev. Run's from Run DMC, son (Russell Simmons Nephew). By my being a music manager, my client's songs were also presented to Shawn Stockman of Boys II Men, A&R, Kapital, at Slip N Slide Records, Andre Harrell, and Deep Distribution just to name a few. My artist has since changed from R&B/Pop genre to Inspirational genre!
As a music publisher, I have presented songs, under my publishing company, Braden & Braden Music (ASCAP), one was later placed behind a production company’s logo by the way of Mac A Million for the movie "You're Nobody 'Till Somebody Kills You" Directed by Michael A. Pinkney; Spike Lee was the Executive Producer of the movie. I have also presented songs that were placed with Subway restaurants, online TV series, Universal Music Group (UMG), Keith Clizark's Team Mash'N distribution company, and a 2012 Halftime Superbowl Commercial featuring Clint Eastwood just to name a few.
I am currently in the process of getting my up & coming talent/reality TV shows called We Are Making Starz, W.A.M.S Tour, Wammy Awards, and Red Carpet, placed. It has the potential of making TRILLIONS A YEAR and have been analyzed by Fortune 100 companies. There are currently several Fortune 500 companies reviewing my companies for placement. Companies include Microsoft, Facebook, Apple, YouTube, Disney, Comcast, NetFlix, and Viacom just to name a few. It was also viewed by Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and the White House via Matt Whitaker. You can find the entire list under WAMS Views. These shows have been compared to American Idol, The Voice, America's Got Talent, Redemption Song and So You Think You Can Dance.
